Anja Göbel studied Cultural Studies, Semiology and Film Literacy in Lüneburg, Tartu (Estonia) and Paris. Since 2008 she has worked in various functions at the exhibition department and film department of the Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen in Berlin. Since 2010 she is also a free lance author and film curator, and has initiated and instructed several film literacy workshops. LE TERRAIN DU PEUPLE is her first film.


Ali K Ouedraogo studied Engineering before turning to theatre and poetry slam. Alias ‚Doueslik le fantastique‘ he regularly performs with his band in Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou. In 2014, he played the main role in a theatre adaptation of ‚Le petit prince‘ in Ouagadougou. All poems in LE TERRAIN DU PEUPLE are written by him.


Simon Gillard studied Directing at the renowned art school INSAS in Brussels. His first short documentary ANIMA (2013) was selected at several European film festivals. His second short documentary YAAR (2014) was awarded for the ‚Best Camera‘ at the Francophone Film Festival Namur and as the ‚Best ethno-anthropological film‘ at the International Documentary Film Festival in Florence. For LE TERRAIN DU PEUPLE he worked as cameraman.


Andrea Schönherr studied Media Design in Weimar and Toulouse and graduated with a documentary film about the Pannier district of Marseille. She started her career as assistant editor at Zero One Film in Berlin and edited several ARTE-productions. As an independent film editor for documentary films she worked on several cinema productions such as FREMD (2013) by Miriam Fassbender, ALLES WAS WIR WOLLEN (2014) by Beatrice Möller and 4 (2015) by Daniel Kutschinski.
